Since Mr. du Laney began his career in the financial services industry, he has focused his practice on helping clients meet their goals for retirement and then managing those resources throughout the client’s retirement years. Chris focuses on building long term advisory relationships with clients as opposed to handling individual transactions. He places an emphasis on ensuring that clients fully understand their portfolios and are aware of the purpose of each investment that they own. Chris adheres to a disciplined investment management process that delivers a completely customized wealth management experience. To help clients monitor their progress toward pursuing their financial goals, Chris conducts regular reviews and makes certain strategies are consistent with any changes that may take place in a client's life or their financial goals.
Prior to entering the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, Chris' experience included product management at leading consumer product companies, marketing with an internet startup company, senior management roles at a large savings bank, and serving as regional President for both for-profit and not-for-profit Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). In his thirteen years at the HMOs, his management team increased membership, member and employee satisfaction, and generated operating profit to industry leading positions in both Ohio and the Pacific Northwest.
Chris graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and has a graduate degree from the Flagler School of Business in Chapel Hill. He has served as a certified outplacement counselor for unemployed professionals in multiple locations as well as a Board member for the Golden Age Centers of Greater Cleveland and his church's banquet center in Willoughby Hills.
He is a Registered Representative (Series 7, 66) with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, a registered broker/dealer, member FINRA, SIPC. He is also a Principal and Investment Adviser Representative of Financial Management Strategies, Inc., a registered investment adviser. Chris is licensed to sell Life, Accident & Health, and Annuity insurance in Ohio and several other states.
Chris and his wife, Cheryl, are frequently found on the highways traveling to see children and young grandchildren who live across the country.
