In his nine years in the financial services industry, Chris du Laney has focused his practice on helping clients meet their goals for retirement and then managing those resources throughout their retirement years to enable them to pursue their financial goals. Chris focuses on building long term client relationships and not individual transactions. He places an emphasis on ensuring that clients fully understand their portfolios and are aware of the purpose of each investment that they own. Chris adheres to a disciplined investment management process that delivers a completely customized wealth management experience, not one in which portfolio management is turned over to a remote team of advisers. To help clients monitor their progress toward pursuing their financial goals, Chris conducts regular reviews and makes certain strategies are consistent with any changes that may take place in a client's life.
Before entering the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, Chris' experience included product management at leading consumer product companies, marketing at internet startups, senior management roles at a large savings bank and serving as regional President for both for-profit and not-for-profit Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). In his thirteen years at the HMOs, his management team increased membership, member and employee satisfaction, and operating profit to industry leading positions in both Ohio and the Pacific Northwest.
Chris has an undergraduate degree from LeMoyne College and a graduate degree from the Flagler School of Business, U.N.C. Chapel Hill. He has served as a certified outplacement counselor for unemployed professionals in multiple locations as well as a Board member for the Golden Age Centers of Greater Cleveland and his church's banquet center in Willoughby Hills. Chris is licensed to sell life and health insurance as well as annuities in several states including the State of Ohio, and is a Registered Representative (Series 7 and 66) through Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, a registered broker/dealer, member FINRA, SIPC. He is also a Principal and Investment Adviser Representative of Financial Management Strategies, Inc., a registered investment adviser.
Chris and his wife, Cheryl, are frequently found on the highways traveling to see children and young grandchildren who live across the country.
